The New and Improved Carseat

Here is my most recent project...

I made a new car seat cover for our little girl. And here is the finished result.

I took the old cover and cut the new material and sewed it together based on what the old one looked like. I did have to make some modifications because I wanted the canopy to be lined. That was a little more difficult. But after a lot of thinking and praying and visualizing, it all came together!

I think it's appropriate for a girl, don't you?

A Nightly Ritual

I love to read to the boys. We found such a great book! The boys are always asking me to read Fablehaven to them. This is what happened when I read one night. They kept asking and asking me to read another chapter...about an hour and a half later, this is what we ended up with. If anyone wants to read a great book, give this one a try. I'm really enjoying the "nightly reads" as well.

We put some trick candles on the pie. Every time the boys would blow them out, they would light back up again. Everyone was getting into it. It was really funny!

The boys wanted an apple pie instead of a cake, so here it is...

Ben's B-day Pictures

I'm just a tad bit late on posting this...
These are just a few pictures of Ben opening his birthday presents.

Devin's Headwound

Back in January, Devin's head made contact with some kind of toy. This was the end result. Ben went to work and glued him all back together. (Kind of nice to avoid a hospital visit.) He did a pretty good job too!

As you can see, the injury didn't affect Devin very much. Here he is being "tough and strong". It's a good thing that kids bounce back so quickly!

Chea took some wonderful pictures of our boys a couple months ago. They turned out so good, as they always do. Here are a few of my favorites. There are so many to choose from, how do you pick just one? :)

Christmas Morning

I'm just barely getting around to our pictures from December. So here the are...

Every year I make pajamas for the boys and the wear them Christmas Eve. This is actually Christmas morning and they are anxiously waiting to go downstairs and see the tree and presents.

I love Christmas time. I love everything about it: the smells, the decorations, the lights, the programs and firesides of Christ, the movies, the food, the shopping, everything...

I'm sad that it's over, but there's always next year." :)

P.E.'s Student of the Quarter

Every quarter "Coach", or the PE teacher, picks a boy and a girl from each grade and honors them by being the PE Student of the Quarter. Well, Caleb and Carson were picked as a "team" for the 3rd Grade boys. They were so excited and absolutely love PE!

Letters from Santa

Before Christmas, all the boys wrote letters to Santa and put them in the Christmas tree. Every morning they would check the tree and see if Santa read their letters. Well, one morning they woke up and found this little package of letters. There was an envelope addressed to each boy from Santa. They loved reading about the North Pole, reindeer, hot chocolate, elves and the importance of Jesus Christ during the Holidays.

Our Nativity

Here are some pictures from our Nativity we did as a Family. I was Mary (being the only girl in the family), Caleb was Joseph, Calvin was the angel, and Carson and Ashton were shepards, and Devin was a pirate (I don't know how that fits into the story, but that's all he wanted to be).

The broom and mop played their roles as the shepard's staffs. :)

The shepards were so amazed to see the star and angel.

Another Ultrasound

Yesterday, I went to the doctor and recieved another ultrasound. I've never had a 3-D one done before. But here it is. The technician said that the cord was lying across the baby's face so she tried to cut the cord out of the picture and this was the best we could get. Interesting, huh?

Here is the profile picture. The bubble looking thing coming out of the mouth is the cord that was lying across her face. And they did check to see if I am going to have a girl still (better to double check) and she said that I am definitely having a girl! And the whole time during the ultrasound, she had the hiccups! Funny little thing! Anyway, the technician asked if any of my other kids had alot of hair because she has a lot! She showed me how to tell and I was surprised and very excited! Hair bows and flowers, here we come!
