Little Photo Shoot
During the month of May, we took a lot of pictures. So bear with me.
I snapped this photo one Sunday evening of Lacey. Carli cut her hair to a cute a-line bob and it looked adorable!
I made a Baptism book for Ashton and it needed a picture of him and me, so Caleb took this picture of the two of us. (The book turned out great as well!)
I wanted to do a little photo shoot of the girls while the boys were in school. Lacey was very cooperative. Daisy was a different story. She did not want anything to do with getting her pictures taken. Hopefully that will change in the near future.
So there you go. Lacey is growing up and I'm trying to get all caught up with my photos and blogging. At least I made it to the month of May... :)

Happy Birthday Lacey
In April, we celebrated Lacey's 3rd birthday. Her birthday actually fell on Easter this year, so it was an extra special day and thank goodness, Ben had that day off.
She wanted everything pink (her favorite color).
She is such a sweet girl and we all love her. She just follows me around the house all day and helps me. Her favorite thing to do: make cookies for the boys. That is what she wants to do everyday.
She didn't want a fancy cake, just a pink one!
We went to the "cousin's" house and she blew out her candles and we ate all the yummy cake and ice cream!
We love this girl and love what she brings to our family. After having five boys, I can definitely say that having a girl is so much different! But we wouldn't have it any other way and we love every minute!

Ward Easter Egg Hunt
A couple days before Easter, Daisy fell on our firepit outside and needed some medical help. Thank goodness there is a Doctor in the house. :) Ben was able to seal the wound shut without getting stitches, although he was really close to putting a few in.
The day before Easter, our ward had an Easter egg hunt at the park. All the kids loved gathering their Easter eggs. And the weather was absolutely beautiful.

Scripture Reading
***This is a post that I posted on Babblings and More***
Every day I try my best to read my Scriptures, I'm not perfect by any
means, but I try my best. A few months ago, I accepted a challenge to
read the Book of Mormon
in 40 days. This meant that I had to read about 30 minutes everyday. I
did this challenge while my boys were in school. So I decided that I
would read after they left for the day (when it was quiet) which means
that I have my two little girls with me that are ages 1 and 3. If my
one year old was awake, I would give her a bottle and hold her while I
read.
I started noticing that my 3 year old would sit on the other couch quietly and pick up the smallest Book of Mormon that she could find and start to "read". She always would make sure that she had a baby on her lap as well.
I started thinking about this and just had to smile because that is
probably exactly what I look like to her: a quiet baby in my lap while I
read from my scriptures.
Isn't the influence of a Mother so important to children? Our children
are watching us every minute of everyday and they take what they see and
it becomes a part of who they are. What a tremendous responsibility!
It is a bit over whelming, scary, exciting and such an honor! Wow!
Words can't even describe the role of a Mother!
I am inspired by so many wonderful women. Whether I see you on the
street, at school, shopping, in church, family, friends and even through
blogging. Whether you have little children, teenaged children, grown
children, or no children at all. You all have so many wonderful
qualities and are truly examples to those you meet. I wanted to thank
you all for the examples that you have set. You are truly inspiring!

Day Trip to Vinton, NM
Living in El Paso puts us right on the border of Texas and New Mexico and Juarez, Mexico.
We have had a lot of fun driving around and seeing new places. Towards the end of February, we drove to Vinton, New Mexico (which isn't very far at all) and enjoyed driving around the town.

There are so many old buildings and such character in that town. We stopped and played in an old park. It was kind of run down, but the kids loved it. And right across the street was the cemetery, so we just had to walk around the cemetery.
We also stopped at a family owned Nursery and bought a few plants. We had such an enjoyable time, especially since Ben was able to spend the day with us, and that doesn't happen very often. Being an OB/GYN resident really takes up time. :)

A Day at the Park
Right now I am playing catch up. So this is a post about a day that we spent in the park back in February. We walked to the park near our house and had a picnic and played.

Sleepy Daisy
While the boys are at school during the day, it is just Daisy, Lacey and I at home. Daisy follows Lacey around the house and Lacey follows me...so we just have a "train" of girls walking around and doing "stuff".
A few weeks ago, I was working on some homework (I'm taking some classes at ASU) and the girls were watching Angelina Ballerina. When I looked over, this is what I saw. Daisy fell asleep on Lacey! I don't know how long she was asleep, but Lacey never said a word. She just let Daisy sleep. So cute!

Santa at Pack Night
While we were at Pack night for Cub Scouts, Santa was there. So some of the kids went and sat on his lap.
Lacey wasn't too sure about the whole experience. She figured that if she didn't look at him, she would be safe.
Daisy on the other hand, wanted nothing to do with Santa and made sure everyone knew it!
Devin was just happy that they handed out treats to everyone!

Having fun in El Paso with some cute kids!
El Paso has been good to us so far. We are loving it! You should see all the looks we get when we take all the kids places. And some of the comments are classic! One person just stood in awe and quietly said, "I've never seen anyone with 7 kids before!" We have never received so much attention before!
The weather is cooler than the Phoenix area by a little bit and cools down at night. We've enjoyed the monsoons every night and the thunder storms are beautiful! We miss our family and friends, but we will be visiting soon! Watch out!
We (meaning Caleb, Carson and myself) snapped a few pictures of Lacey playing in our backyard and some of the kids at the park.
Lacey has so much fun dressing up and loves to have her fingernails painted by some of her favorite people. You know who you are!
She would sniff the flowers and then wipe her nose as fast as she should. Funny girl!
Daisy is growing up so fast. All the boys are so helpful with her, I don't know what I'm going to do when they all start school!
Here we have Ashton, Carson and Caleb. They love having a good time!
Now look at that smile! So precious! How can you not smile back!
You know you are...
